A peak into the author's closet reveals a bit of an addiction...
I love shoes. I have far more than should be legally allowed, and I still don’t have nearly enough. There is something magical about putting on a great pair of heels, especially if you are short like I am (only 5’3″, with hairspray).

"A shoe has so much more to offer than just to walk." -Christian Louboutin
It is an elevation, an equalization, being able to see the world from a higher perspective. Good heels give confidence, make one hold their head high, and appreciate their own God-given beauty. Once a girl sees herself in heels, and stands in them, she sees herself as who she can really be.

"The shoe is very much an X-ray of social comportment"-Christian Louboutin
My shoe budget is abysmal, so I am forced to admire the ones I really love from afar, and this year marks the twentieth anniversary of my favorite shoe designer: Christian Louboutin.

"When a woman buys a pair of shoes, she never looks at the shoe. She stands up and looks in the mirror, she looks at (herself). If she likes herself, then she considers the shoe."-Christian Louboutin
In addition to designing a totally adorable shoe in five different colors to commemorate the occasion, Louboutin has also done a stunning coffee table book.

Heaven=beautiful shoes and beautiful books
(Gotta love a dude who celebrates an important milestone by writing a book.) The man is an artist, and a shoe genius. Girls, here’s some red shoe candy:

"I hate the concept of the clog! It's fake, it's ugly, and it's not even comfortable! And I hate the whole concept of comfort! It's like when people say, 'Well, we're not really in love, but we're in a comfortable relationship.' You're abandoning a lot of ideas when you are too into comfort. 'Comfy'—that's one of the worst words! I just picture a woman feeling bad, with a big bottle of alcohol, really puffy. It's really depressing, but she likes her life because she has comfortable clogs."-Christaian Louboutin
